Animal Tracks at the very first LA Climate Week!

This year marked the very first LA Climate Week, and Animal Tracks Sanctuary was proud to be part of such an inspiring event. As passionate advocates for wildlife and environmental conservation, it was a perfect opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations committed to protecting our planet.

At our booth, we had the privilege of meeting passionate people dedicated to the fight against climate change through technology, art, entrepreneurship, policy and more. Each interaction reminded us that we are all working toward the same goal: a sustainable and healthy future for both people and wildlife. It was heartening to hear about innovative solutions, from renewable energy projects to waste reduction initiatives, each contributing to a greener world.

We shared stories of the incredible animals at our sanctuary, and talked about our educational experiences. Attendees were especially interested in learning how human activities, like the illegal pet trade, habitat destruction, and pollution, are affecting wildlife populations. We emphasized how protecting animals and their ecosystems is a critical piece of the puzzle in tackling climate change.

Worldwide, there is a growing recognition of the deep connections between conservation and climate action. Just as we protect animals from the harms of human intervention, we must also protect their homes—the forests, oceans, and natural habitats that are being impacted by our changing climate. A thriving biodiversity promotes a thriving planet for thriving humans!

Participating in LA Climate Week was an inspiring experience, and we left feeling more motivated than ever to continue our work. Together, with the incredible people we met, we will keep fighting for the future of our planet and the precious wildlife that depends on it!
