Volunteer at the Sanctuary

Our volunteers are vital to sanctuary operations. We are always looking for dedicated people with a good work ethic to help us out. We are asking for volunteers to dedicate at least 4 days a month, but more days are always a plus, for you and for us!

Our day includes cleaning enclosures, sweeping, doing laundry, preparing diets, doing dishes, basic maintenance, and projects around the facility. Be aware that this is hard and dirty work! In the beginning you will be shadowing one of our amazing keepers or other experienced volunteers. Our day starts at 8AM sharp, and are usually done by 1PM. After that, if time permits, you might see and participate in playtime with a few animals (under strict supervision of the director and senior volunteers). Safety is our number one priority, for our volunteers and our animals.

IMPORTANT NOTES: You must be able to volunteer on the same day each week (one year commitment is preferred).

Before signing up, we also recommend that you:

- have a current anti-Tetanus shot;

- have a current TB test;

- are vaccinated against Covid 19.
